Indiana– Boards That Tell Stories
Since 1989, Indiana has been synonymous with Swiss precision, unparalleled quality, and a passion for keeping people moving. The brand’s journey began in a small laundry room by Lake Zurich, where Christof Peller designed and handcrafted the first skateboards. With meticulous attention to detail and a clear vision, Indiana grew into a globally celebrated brand.
A key element of the brand was its production in its own factory in Wald, ZH, a place rich in tradition, shaped by the Swiss textile industry and industrialization through hydropower. This historic location remains an important part of Indiana’s identity to this day.
Whether skateboards or balance boards, Indiana seamlessly blends tradition and innovation to create products with character. The boards are known for their durability, quality, and timeless design. While the balance boards are manufactured in Europe, the skateboards are produced in Asia, leveraging over 35 years of expertise and Swiss craftsmanship.
In 2010, Indiana launched its first Stand Up Paddleboards (SUPs) – another milestone in the brand’s history. These products reflect the same dedication that made Indiana’s skateboards so successful. Since 2019, the Indiana SUP brand has been independently managed by co-founder Maurus Strobel, while Christof Peller remains focused on the original Indiana Boards.
The partnership with Micro Mobility Systems further strengthens Indiana: Since 2023, Micro has supported the global distribution of skateboards and balance boards. Together, the two brands bring over 50 years of experience, setting new standards in innovation, sustainability, and Swissness.
